Nehmer Family Farms started out as a hog and crop farm in our current location. Back in those days we grew just a acre or so of sweetcorn and sold it “under the tree” on a picnic table(that picnic table is still around and used up by the greenhouses). Over time, more and more people started to buy our sweetcorn and our current corn wagon was built and more products were added to what we grow.
At some point along the way, the pigs left us and we concentrated on crops and vegetables. A greenhouse was built to the side of the garage to give us a place to start vegetable plants for transplanting out in the garden(Yes! It was still a garden). Another greenhouse(now the sales house for flowers) came quickly and a few hanging baskets were introduced to the farm. We soon expanded to our current six greenhouse where we grow spring annuals and our vegetable plants.
The late 1990s saw the crop portion of the farm go away and we focussed on growing flowers and vegetables from there. More farmer’s markets were added and the stand “under the tree” is still there. We continue to strive to bring you the best quality produce and flowers that we can.
